Commandant of Corps Idris Yahaya Adah, Kaduna State NSCDC Commandant
In recognition of effective service delivery in security and emergency management, Commandant of Corps Idris Yahaya Adah, of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC), Kaduna state command has been honored as a recipient of Security and Emergency Management Award by Emergency Digest, a Publication of the Image Merchants Promotion Limited.
Held at the NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja, the event was in conjunction with the Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) and Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC).
The nomination of Commandant Idris Adah, for the award which according to correspondence to the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, followed due process by a panel of experienced personalities.
On the assumption of duty as the 12th Commandant of NSCDC, Kaduna State, Adah has brought about many transformational changes in providing watertight security in the state facing security challenges.
Recently, given an approval by the Commandant General, the Commandant created eight more Divisional offices bringing the total number of Divisions to 31 and three (3) Area Commands for effective operational coverage and convenient administrative purposes.
According to Commandant Adah who cites different supports given by the Commandant General to Kaduna command, non-performance by officers and men will not be condoned as he vows to command is to deliver on the mandates of the Corps with collective support of his lieutenants.
